Does cropping permanently remove content outside the crop area?
No. Cropping sets a visibility boundary (CropBox). The original content still exists in the file but is hidden from view in most PDF readers.
What units can I use for crop values?
You can enter values in PDF points (pt) or millimeters (mm). 1 mm equals approximately 2.83 points.
Can I crop different pages to different sizes?
Currently, the same crop values are applied to all selected pages. For per-page cropping, process pages separately.
What does the 'Remove white borders' preset do?
It trims 20 points from each edge of every page — a common amount for removing scanner borders or extra print margins.
Will the file size decrease after cropping?
Usually not significantly, because the hidden content remains in the file. For size reduction, use the Compress tool.
